these are a bunch of resources that have been useful to me while building my site

32bitcafe's resource list - an incredible directory of resources for everything indie web
7.css - a css framework for making things look like windows 7. i used this on some of my about page. fun and funky
dinkdonkdunk - a nice collection of web-related resources, plus some fun sites
w3schools - great place to start on your html/css/js learning journey. very beginner friendly
mdn web docs - moar info for html/css/js. i love u mozilla
petrapixel's coding tutorials - really awesome tutorials and tips that helped me the most when i was just starting out!!
vscode - the code editor i use. it has a lot of extensions and it's freeeeee
vscodium - an alternative to vscode without microsoft's telemetry. would recommend over vscode if you're okay with missing out on some extensions

broider - cute pixel borders
cssgradient.io - create a gradient and get code ready to paste in your css. a lifesaver honestly
scripted resources - lots of codes to make your site look cool. would recommend exploring all the sections because there's a lot of useful stuff here
rv's javascript effects - has code for things like cursor effects, floating objects, text effects, etcetc
88x31 button generator - make your own 88x31 button

anna's archive - the largest open library in human history! don't spend hundreds of dollars on textbooks before checking here!! note: i linked the wikipedia page because it usually has the most up to date urls
seattle public library books unbanned - if you are aged 13 to 26, you can get free access to the seattle public library's e-book and audiobook collection! i recommend using your card on the libby app so you can check-out and read in the same place

ublock origin - the best adblocker on the web (imo). i can't imagine my life without it
adguard dns - the only adblocker i've found that works on ios. blocks ads on browsers and apps! note: definitely do your research before installing because it can be kinda tricky to figure out how to disable it should you need to
indie wiki buddy - an extension that automatically redirects fandom.com pages to functional, less bloated mirrors
removepaywalls.com - removes paywalls from articles. also has an extension!
isthereanydeal.com - search for a game and see its current and historical lowest prices
